The Water Street Gallery is dedicated to the practice and preservation of traditional photographic techniques. The use of digital technologies in image making has made the traditional photographic image all the more relevant and in demand by collectors.

In order to foster interests and activities in photography, The Water Street Gallery has available a photographic (aka, 'wet') darkroom for hourly rental. Also available is a print finishing area for mating and framing.

In the near future, the darkroom will be able to accomodate photographers interested in traditional 19th century techniques, such as carbon printing and platinum printing.

The Water Street Gallery will offer a variety of workshops throughout the year. Please see the 'Workshops' page for details.

Photographers who wish to use the darkroom, but have no previous experience, can take a one-on-one workshop with Fred Sigman. The cost for a three-hour introductory workshop is $150.
