Opened in September 2007 in the Water Street District of Henderson, Nevada, The Water Street Gallery has the goal of exhibiting emerging and established artists as well as contemporary and historical photography. In addition to organizing and curating exhibitions, The WSG offers various services to artists. For those wishing to reproduce their originals as limited edition giclèe prints, the studio has complete facilities and equipment. The studio part of the business can assist photographers wishing to print and publish portfolios of their work in the nineteenth century processes of platinum/palladium and carbon. And for those interested in presenting their work and bio in video format, the WSG has complete video shooting and editing capabilities.
Fred Sigman IV, the owner's son, manages the studio. He has been a photographic printer for seven years and a video editor for five. When a client seeking our fine art digital printing services comes into the studios of the Water Street Gallery, they will be working with Fred. |
Fred Sigman. Ellora Caves, India. 2005.
Owner Fred Sigman began his career as a wildlife photographer at the age of 17, while still a student in high school in Las Vegas, Nevada. After moving to Florida, where he continued in that field, he also began teaching art and photography. Fred is now a tenured Professor of Art History at the College of Southern Nevada, with specialties in Asian and Tribal Art. Fred has traveled throughout the world since he was a young boy, and his wanderlust has not ceased. Over the past several years he has photographed in and collected art from Myanmar (Burma), China, Cambodia, Tibet, Australia, Peru, Mexico and Europe, to name but a few of the places where he returns. The results of these trips will be featured in The WSG as exhibitions of Fred's photography as well as exhibitions of some of these collected works...all of which are available to collectors.
